Everybody knows Lord Vega Fabio de Cerna truly is in every way the handsomest man in the world, with a most delicate and refined taste for beauty - so much, he only joined Shadaloo with the secret intent to do his part in Bison's eventual demise. Bison's many forces long knew this, but only planned to tell Bison so when, in their twisted sense, 'the time is right'.

But it was in April 1984 when Vega took the first step toward doing the most beautiful thing even he could ever imagine. He was about to secretly cry and throw up at another Vega-hate slur by the bastard boxer Balrog, who had long been especially cruel to he... when Bison announced another 'evacuee' (a good soul unfortunately born to Bison-loyalist parents) was on the way, a female who would be the firstborn to two of Bison's coldest loyalists Margaret and Miguel Farrell - but for reasons unknown even to himself, Bison had somehow detected her to be his greatest threat, and so all evil forces were to especially abide by Bison's usual orders for dealing with evacuees. The parents surrendering her to he so he may decide her fate, even if it means he wishes to marry her; and all evil forces must do everything in their twisted power and more to taunt her and crush her spirit, to force her to surrender to Bison.

Vega knew not why... but he felt something stir inside his heart for this innocent child, far more than he ever had for any other evacuee. He knew acting directly was too risky as he himself still served Bison and was yet to find the right time to betray the bastard - but he vowed to personally oversee this girl's evacuation and protection. He knew the only choice now was for someone to rescue her at birth and adopt her, and raise her as their own until the time comes for she and he to finally meet - and he chose that lucky person to be none other than the noble Baron Raul Julia, whose lifelong dream was to adopt a female evacuee and raise her until the time comes for her to leave home and thus officially become a streetfighter. He also dubbed the unborn girl a princess, and even gave her a name popular among heroines of the past but in particular after his own mother: Natalie.

As a cover to Bison, Vega also suggested codenaming the girl 'Deadeye' - after a male character from a comic popular among the fighters. Bison accepted Vega's suggestion.

Raul graciously accepted Vega's offer to adopt the innocent Natalie, and so he vowed to raise her well. If Vega so sought to marry Natalie, then Raul was also more than willing to grant him her hand - even the mere thought of walking her down the aisle to such a beloved man honoured Raul greatly! The other good fighters and dear allies were also touched at Vega's vow to protect this innocent child, some even saying they'd adopt her themselves had Vega not opted for Raul to.

Natalie was due in early January (AKA Vega Month) 1985, thus indeed this would make Vega Month all the more special - but both good and evil were all the more on standby as the year slowly drove on. Vega would even frequently corner the Farrells and threaten them with hell should they trouble the as-yet-unborn Natalie...

...But also, at every given opportunity he would put his hand out to Margaret's stomach... as if to tell Natalie to hang in there, and frequently vowed to protect her even if from a distance especially once she was born. Natalie's response was only to kick at Margaret's womb, as if to thank Vega for his comfort and goodwill...
