So Rei's not here, Travis thought. He wondered where she might have gone when he walked past a television playing some drama series or another, before it cut to the advertisement Interpol had put out on him. "Oh s**t." He didn't stay around to see all of it, deciding it was best to keep out of sight. He didn't want to take any chances.

Rei waited at the airport and sat in silence as she waited for her flight, then looked up at the television as it played the advertisement on Travis. "What?" she wondered out loud. Rei noticed her head shaking in disbelief as the advertisment played out, and wondered just who was crazier...Travis or Interpol.

So far there had been nothing of interest, and Leon began to wonder just why his body was screaming that there was something wrong. He'd gone down about as far into the facility as he could, and about the only thing he noticed was how someone had evidently remodeled the place from how it was described to him. Maybe someone was conducting research down here, taking over since the base was blown up. It was the quiet, Leon reasoned suddenly, the ominous feeling of dread about the unknown that was getting to him. Carefully he turned around a corner and... "Huh!"

Before his shocked eyes Leon came face to face with who he guessed was a scientist, looking as though he had fallen asleep. Leon could tell that he likely passed away due to the extreme cold. He couldn't help but lean forward, inspecting the body closely, expecting the scientist to suddenly pop up and try to kill him. After a moment Leon allowed himself to drop his guard and shifted his attention to the room itself, seeing more dead bodies about. He got onto the radio and called Rebecca. "We have bodies here." Leon began to look around for what information there might be.

"How many?" Rebecca asked.

"There's five here. They look like scientists. I think they died from the cold." Leon found a log journal and thumbed through it. "This place is nothing like the way it was described to up. I think there's more to this than we thought."

"And don't let me see you anywhere near here again." Travis patted the crowbar in the palm of his hand, the remaining thugs too far away to chase after. "Not ever." He looked at the bar after the fight he had stepped into, feeling the puncture holes where the crowbar was driven into his chest. Much of the crowd had dispersed even before he got himself involved, not daring to lift a finger as he stepped over one of the goons. The inert body told the story, he was unconcious at best. Travis looked through his pockets and came up with a wallet. This could be useful, he thought. The party had been in full swing when he was walking past. What he guessed were gatecrashers storming out and picking him as their next target was his invite. They were drunk, Travis figured they'd had a gutful and wanted to show how macho they were. Whatever they were on about it didn't matter now. What did matter was that Travis had better make himself scarce.

It had been a long, dull flight, but finally Rei saw the city of Miami below her. This was where it all started, she thought, how she was apparently flung back through time after she had wiped out the human race. Maybe this is my atonement, Rei wondered, reflecting on how it had been two long years since what had occured. The possibility dawned upon her that maybe she wouldn't be able to do anything, and if that was the case...What then? Rei didn't know. At least she was away from any harm coming to her, and for that she was greatful.
