Travis was lying on a couch, reading a book on how anciant ninja secrets could be applied today. Nancy and Jill were going over what happened earlier, and Travis waited until she was ready to talk to him. He thought about how there really hadn't been much news about Umbrella, since Claire found Chris, or rather, the other way around, in Antarctica in the last millennium. Over three years and there hadn't been so much as the odd skirmish, or breaking into and wiping out a lab. No mess, no fuss, and no one falling victim to the virus. He was so deep in thought that he wasn't aware that Jill was there until she tapped him on the head.

"Travis, what's wrong?" she asked.

"Huh? Oh, not much really."

"Thinking about what happened?"

Travis stretched and yawned. "Yeah, I guess so." Travis shook a little. "Lot on my mind, like seeing that guy blown away."

"Nancy told me about it."

"By the way, I never thought to ask before. Fighting with the X Men, what was that like?"

Jill shrugged. "Cable reminded me of my instructer at Delta Force when I was training to be in STARS."

"Oh, 'that' must have been fun."

"He was so calm and athoritive, and I couldn't believe that he was actually the son of Cyclops. I would have thought it was the other way around."

"Well, don't wanna delay the interrogation, so...the guy was at home just like we thought, and me and Nancy were able to get there no problems."

------------------------

"Special Forces," Travis yelled out, he and Nancy running as fast as they could to where they would meet up with Jill, "everyone get down and take cover, do it now!" Then the radio sputtered to life. "Jill," Travis yelled out, "what's happening?"

"A van has pulled up, there's troops coming in."

"Grenade got the Umbrella employee."

"I saw it, couldn't get in touch until now."

"Why not?"

"They have some sort of frequency jammer up."

Travis and Nancy were just about to turn a corner. Travis reached out with a hand and reached around. Just as he thought, one of the soldiers was trying to be clever and ambush them. His hand grasped the M62 assault rifle the soldier had and yanked it toward's him, bringing up a knee and slamming it into the soldier's gut. With his free arm, Travis smashed an elbow into the soldier's chest and slammed his sholder into him, knocking him against the wall. Nancy shot him dead. "Okay, we're nearly there." They ran down the stairs and into the hall leading outside when they were faced by two soldiers, who immediately started firing. Nancy took cover behind a cubboard while Travis dove into a closed door, hurting like hell upon impact and surprised as the door busted open from the force of his act of desperation. He crashed into the apartment, scrambling to get his legs in and clear of fire. Nancy began firing back to keep the soldiers from going after Travis. Travis meanwhile fought the pain and tried to work out what to do. There was a window leading outside. He first thought to smash the window and run for Jill, but as he looked about, he had a better idea. He quietly opened it and climbed out, keeping an eye out for any other soldiers. He couldn't see any, but he wanted a second opinion. "Jill," he said quietly on the radio, "Nancy's pinned down by two soldiers, I'm outside. Can you see any others?"

"I see you. There's some soldiers on the roof."

Travis crept up to the front, behind the two soldiers, and grabbed one of them in a headlock, taking him by surprise. His partner saw what happened and went to fight Travis off when he was shot, the blow going straight through the stomache. Nancy went to take aim at the other soldier when Travis pulled with one hand on the head, the other on the shoulder. The sound of a neck breaking is much louder in the movies than it is in real life, but the result is the same, as Travis found out. The aoldier went limp and slumped in his arms. He let go and just stared at what he'd done. "Let's go," Nancy said. Travis looked up at her and nodded, following her to Jill.

"Killed him," Travis explained to Jill. He had always avoided killing until last year, sick with the guilt of it. After the violent rampage he went on, he had started going back to his pacifist ways.

"You did the right thing," said Jill.

"Yeah." Travis really didn't want to talk about it.

"Did you find out anything?"

"I have a photo of one of the soldiers here." Jill showed it to him. "Take a look at the hat." The soldier had on some sort of military cap. Taking a closer look, Travis could make out a logo. "You seen that before?"

"Yeah, today." Travis took another look at the photo. "Seriously, I've seen it somewhere before."

"So have I, though I can't remember where. I'll see if I can run it through Interpol."
