"What are you going to do?" Jessie chanced asking Nancy. She knew there was every possibility of her allowing Amy to commit suicide, or killing the poor woman herself. Were she in Nancy's shoes Jessie thought there was no way she could bring herself to do that. Just then the phone rang.

"Hello?" Jessie answered for Nancy.

"Can only talk for a minute," the voice on the other end replied. "Not sure if you heard but an atheist meeting center was bombed." Jesse began to repeat the information when she was told something else. "They suspect it being a terrorist attack."

"Why do they think that?" the police officer wondered.

"Not sure. They sent the military in, I'll try and find out more."

"Okay, thanks Dave." Before she could say anything else the line went dead. David Taylor, as well as Jessie and Philip, were recruits Nancy had trained as a PMC. He was meant to be off in South America or somewhere, must have been intelligence for him to find that out so fast. Jessie repeated the information she was told.

"Someone must have reacted badly to being told religion is bullshit," was how she responded to the news. However, her mind was racing, trying to figure out what this was going to do to the big religion issue.

Sofia noticed the tank as well, except when she looked saw that it was an APC, a troop transport and not technically a tank. She wondered why the Americans had saw fit to deploy one of them when someone called the house.

"Dah, Allen residence," she said upon answering the phone.

"Sofia, is that you?" She recognised the voice as Philip.

"Yes, it me. Nancy back soon, I think."

"Okay, but you should hear this too." Philip told her how there was a suspected terrorist involvement of the bombing of an atheist meeting center.

"Really?" The first question to enter her mind was exactly who would have the most to gain from doing this. Certainly not the church, they wouldn't do this for one thing and for another it would draw too much heat. Sofia began painting the possible culprit as working alone, this being simply an isolated incident.

"Yeah." Philip told her what he knew, which wasn't much. "Thought you'd like to know."

"Reiko Ichijo, your flight tickets have been arranged." Reiko was watching the news at the airport terminal when a man came up to her, presenting her with the tickets she requested for Miami.

"Thanks." She looked at the man she took them from, he was Spanish she thought, definitely South American. "What was the fucking hold up?" The man coughed discreetly at the language before replying.

"Seems the police were screening you before allowing you to travel. Apparently there was some concern about transporting weapons."

"That's bullshit," Reiko told him. "Can't take a gun on board."

"We know it is." The man directed Reiko to the gate she needed to attend to. "Your flight has been cleared and will be leaving shortly."

"We have begun initiation of phase one," Albert said on the phone, trying to keep the conversation out of Mina's earshot, "and shall begin our operations in other cities shortly."

"What about that religious bitch Nancy?" Albert glanced at Mina, her involvement being vital to that end.

"The Marines we hired helped out on that score. We have her son. We are chancing she won't try anything to stop us." At that Mina went to leave so she could oversee Vega's trip to Mexico.

"ETA to Mexico is two hours," Sergeant Medcraft told Vega. "You believe that horse shit about soldiers being behind the killings?" Being a terrorist Medcraft wondered whether or not the matador cared. "Well, maybe we can find out more. We're ready for what might eventuate down there."

"That woman never called back did she?" Nancy asked. Jessie was gratful for the change in topic.

"Interpol wasn't she?" She thought about the Chinese woman who offered aid. "No, don't think so."

"You get the impression she doesn't know what it takes to do this shit?" Jessie saw an APC go by, thinkng that might have been a bit of an overreaction to the bombing, then shrugged, not knowing what Nancy was getting at.

***************************

"You should," Sofia told Ken, thinking she should probably leave too. With the bombing it was probably a good idea to do what she could to try and divert blame, and Sofia knew how Nancy would be about what happened.

"Twenty minutes is our ETA," Medcraft told Vega. He thought about what he and his men were doing here, what they had been sent out to do. Aiding a terrorist to kill American soldiers who were meant to be raping, torturing and killing Mexican women. The whole thing was crazy, he knew he dreaded anything worse than aiding in holding a young boy hostage to come along but Alex thought this did it. "Hey, that stupid asshole..." he began, when he recieved a radio message. "Yeah, we're nearly there." Medcraft listened for a moment before turning away from the Spanish matador. "Is that right? Well our guest will be pleased. Yeah, we'll make certain of it." Alex thought about telling Vega, but instead wanted to know about Dan. "That stupid asshole from before, you know him?"
