"Nothing fancy," Sofia said on the phone, "just what can be done to help." She looked at Nancy one more time, seeing the way she was wallowing in her depression, and thought there was nothing that could be done, at least not now. Maybe she would have better luck after doing what she could for Yun, it might help to clear her head. On the way out she saw Jessie with Sakura. Sofia thought she might stick it out, but thought it wise to warn against it.

"She refuses to move on." Jessie was well aware of that and began to wheel Sakura away.

"And no one can make her." She had an idea, Jessie didn't know what compelled her to do so, but she stopped and went to lift Sakura out of the chair. "It's alright," the police officer assured her, "I got you, I got you." She brought Sakura down lightly on her feet, figuring Nancy had been in no fit state to try this, and thought maybe with a bit of help Sakura would gain the confidence to try walking on her own.

"You expect me to fight American soldiers?" Reiko asked in disgust.

"Please," Carlos said to her, "at least allow us to show you what the situation is before making your decision." Reiko thought about the claims. If they were right then what the boarder patrols were doing were clearly wrong, and she'd have every desire to put a stop to it. If, on the other hand, there was more to it, they were trying to get her to agree to conspiracy to murder, then that was another maatter entirely.

"I don't trust you," she made clear, "you kidnap me to fulfil your own ends, but I will let you try and convince me."

"We go then." Gassman signaled for the jeep to transport them to Vezuzade. He reached into one and pulled out a bottle of tequilla as he climbed onto the vehicle's side. "Drink?" he offered, taking a sip for himself. "Vezuzade has sangeria if you prefer."

Mina was trying to keep track of two events aat the same time, what was happening in Mexico and what her employers might be up to. She hid behind a corner, listening.

"Lost contact with the girl we hired to kill her," she heard Albert say.

"That's going to make things difficult. The murder could have been covered up if she did it."

"You think she told Nancy?"

"Information of our activities had been slipped to us before."

"Attempts to cover up our wrongdoings." There was a pause. Mina heard someone coming and busied herself with working on a nearby comouter, trying to look like she was meant to be there. She got a glance of who it was and immediately thought that he looked like a psycho.

"We need to take care of her ourselves," Mina heard him say.

"You ever killed anyone before Michael?"

"Have to start somewhere." Mina listened intently. "She's too busy being upset about her son. I'll handle it."

So they're planning to kill Nancy. With that knowledge she went back to see what was happening in Mexico.
