April is Airing Month!

April is Airing Month, in honour of an airing celebration we dedicated to the memory of our dear big boss Master Haruka. She herself encouraged airing celebration, particularly the pre-airing gaming achievements... so you guys accepted my offer, to dedicate what would be our first airing celebration without her to her memory - and when I had the big news in the following April, Alexis suggested I should make April as Airing Month here.

The two airings in question also fell on the ten-year anniversary of when Ryu had to dedicate his fight to my third cat, Smokey (? 1985 - April 16 1997), a male gray tux... so yes, I kept Smokey in my thoughts as well. Smokey acted as a 'surrogate mom' to three of my other past cats - including Simba (my second tabby, not to be confused with Kunzite's Himalayan cat of the same name), who went missing just before Ryu had to dedicate his fight to Smokey. Late tortoiseshell twin sisters Jenny and Zelda were successors to Smokey and Simba.

As well as Easter falling this month, on April 9... for the Jasmine fans here, her birthday is this month! Her birthday is April 4 - she was almost five weeks, and therefore still too young to be homed (hence me having her on, as if in a sign from Heaven, the Dennis Hopper anniversary 0:-)), when my parents went to look at her for me.

Sad but true, a lot of bad things have happened to me in *gasp* Deadeye Month - which forced me to implement such things as, most recently, the 'protected' status on Your Disco Needs You. I mean, my own concerns aside... who in the right mind would want to wake up on Christmas morning, only to find coal in their stockings right?

Luckily, Airing Month doesn't have that many strikes - the odd stab here and there, I suppose, including a horrific incident with Donut Lord immediately before we raised the alarm for Yoshimoto. OMG, I knew him bullying me even when he was still only a baby was no mere 'sibling rivalry'...

Update, with regard to that Street Fighter game I've been invited to play on Saturday: it will be Street Fighter 2 Turbo. My friend said it was a Street Fighter game, on the SNES mini console - so I looked it up, and I know that's Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

So yep, it looks like I'll play as our beloved Vega! Let the Balrog mains be warned...

My parents won't be doing Easter lunch this year - dad isn't feeling too well, so Gran advised mom against the lunch. So it looks like the Easter Bunny will have to call at my apartment this year, I'll go pick up my eggs on the way to town tomorrow; and Gran will hopefully bring the Chun Li shirt she promised me, when we meet for lunch on Thursday...

And what good news, that bloody Watership Down will not be on TV on Easter Sunday! I trust some judgement, if peeps have learned their lesson - but there may be the odd hiccup some years, so best stay alert no?

More good news for fans of classic shows! If you're a fan of all the environmentally-friendly stuff, then you'll be glad to know that the Toxic Crusaders are back! They have a new game coming out, another beat-'em-up not unlike that Turtles one.

I would like to play as Toxie's mom if possible, but I'll happily be Toxie himself - I have looked at each of the 'hideously deformed creatures of superhuman size and strength' themselves LOL, and after careful evaluation I would most favour the man himself; but if his mom is playable, I would let her do the honours.

And it's another one of those environment-protecting shows, like good old Captain Planet - so if you have any little ones in your family, then I would suggest using these to help teach them about protecting the environment?

And yes, my 'Intoxicating Cruzader' title is a pun on 'Toxic Crusader', also as a nod to dear little Soma Cruz (who has, himself, played one or two significant roles in my enforcement of Ibuki's Law), and referencing Vega's quote "Let my beauty intoxicate you" Happy

I was looking at a YouTube video, of a Toxic Crusaders demo... I think you can play as Toxie's mom, but only in the full game when it comes out? Both she and Headbanger are unplayable in the demo, but you can pick Toxie, Major Disaster, Nozone, Yvonne and Junkyard.

And oh my gosh, the post-level cutscene is so funny. As always, Psycho (yes, that is the character's name) indicates he predicted you winning the level (that running gag in the show is so funny), and Dr Killemoff is pissed at him for it - then his higher-up Czar Zosta contacts him, and chews him out for you defeating the first boss...
