An Alternate Universe: A Re-Telling of the SuperBeast Saga 6

Spinning mentally and physically out of control, Mike loses control of Balrog's SUV and drives into a ditch, he rolls out of the driver seat, holding himself up on the front driver side wheel. A blinding flash of light comes before him, and Rose appears.

Mike: What, Rose?

Rose: Killing Bison will not bring Cammy back. Say you kill him, then what? You're forced to live without your friends, your wife, nothing. You will continue to go throughout the seasons alone, as you have been, Michael.

Mike: I have nothing more to prove, nothing left to lose. Bison will pay. I'm done with it all.

Rose picks him up, and kisses his forehead.

Rose: I hope you know what your doing.

She teleported him to Bison's base. He blasts the doors down with his foot. A swarm of Bison's men had charged him. Armed with melee weapons, batons, pipes and knives, he goes through them, taking down multiple attackers.

Mike: Show yourself, you son of a bitch!

Bison appears behind him and shoves his knee into his back.

Bison: Well well well...ask and you shall recieve.

Mike: You took everything from me.

Bison: Correction, dear boy. You did. You failed to save your wife that day. YOU let it all slip through your fingers. Had you been more vigilant, she'd still be here by your side. Not feeding hungry worms.

Mike goes for a leaping side kick, which Bison disappears.

Bison: Not to mention your friends would still be here. I'm sure Ryu would agree.

Mike: Don't you dare say a damn thing about Ryu!

Bison: What say we ask him, hmm?

Ryu appears out of the darkness. His eyes are a crimson red. His right arm is covered in cybernetics and circuits. Embedded in his forehead is computer chip, neutralizing his free will.

Bison: Trooper, target sighted! Eliminate!

Ryu: Yes, Lord Bison.

Mike: Ryu, don't do this!

Ryu darts at him, swinging at his ribs and connecting. Mike's reduced speed is no match for Ryu. He defends whatever strikes he could.

Mike: Ryu, it's me, man! We're friends!

Bison: You slammed that door on your friendship at your funeral. The same way you slammed that door on Cammy's casket.

Mike: You sick fuck! Arrgh!

Ryu continues dominating the fight. He tackles Mike down. The brainwashing chip had caused him to be somewhat mindless and sloppy in his attacks. Mike sees this oppurtunity, however Ryu has his hands pinned down.

Mike: Dammit, Ryu! Snap out of it!

Mike bites Ryu's forehead, biting the chip hoping his saliva would shorten the chip out. He bites and pulls back, the brainwashing chip in mouth, spitting it out. Ryu falls back, holding his head.

Ryu: Wha...Mike?

Mike: Yes, it's me!

Bison, now angry, sets his sights on Ryu. He gives Ryu a critical Pyscho Crusher.

Bison: You worthless little shit!

Turning around, Mike is nowhere to be seen. Bison begins searching.

Bison: Where are you, Mike? Let me end your suffering. Come on out and show your face, you faggot.

Mike pushes lockers down onto Bison. He hops over them and begins kicking at Bison, aiming for his head. One kick sends Bison onto his back, and gets on top of him. He grabs a knife from a fallen Bison soldier and tries to plunge it into Bison's neck. With a zap from his eyes, the blade explodes, sending a fragment into Mike's face. Using his signature Knee Press attack, he sends Mike flying towards a broken steam pipe, impaling him. Bison walks over to him as Mike tries to pull himself off of it.

Bison: Stay down like the dog you are!

Mike: Fu....fuck you.

Using what Demon power he had remaining, he tries to heal his wound. Bison's fist glows with Psycho power, he tends to finish Mike off.

Bison: Tell your whore wife I send my coldest regards when you see her in Hell.

Bison jumps into the air, and comes down with a Psycho Crusher. Before he hits it, Ryu comes out of nowhere, kicking Bison out of the way, sending him collapsing to the ground. He pulls Mike off of the steam pipe, who concentrates on healing.

Ryu: Are you okay, brother?

Mike: I'll be fine. Get out of here.

Ryu: What? No, we need to get out of here!

Mike: Ryu, go. This is my penance for what I've done. I've failed to protect you, and Cammy from scum like this.

Mike takes off his bracelet. It is a wide leather strap, with metal holes in two rows of six.

Mike: Just in case anything happens to me, keep this. I'll always be with you. Now go, goddammit!

Ryu runs for the nearest exit. Mike turns his attention on Bison, who is spitting out blood.

Bison: This ends now, boy.

Mike quickly crosses himself.

Mike: Hope this works.

The power he was fighting back for years was showing through. A red aura surrounds him. His skin bubbles. His skin turns into patches of red. His eyes begin to glow yellow. He begins to grow, and lets out a vicious roar. SuperBeast had risen after years of hiding. He clomps over to a mainframe and bashes it. Sirens blare and a computer voice comes onto the PA system.

Computer: Three minutes until self-destruction.

SuperBeast: I WILL TASTE YOUR FLESH, MORTAL!

Bison: Mortal? Mortal!? I'll show you how mortal I am! COME ON, FREAK!

Bison Psycho Crushes his way into SuperBeast, sending him back a few feet. He goes for it again, only to be caught. The monster grabs Bison's left leg and snaps it like a twig. Bison screams in pain. He grabs a knife from his back pocket and plunges it into SuperBeast's heart. The monster roars in pain.

Bison: Die, you freak!

With what power remaining in the Hybrid, SuperBeast unhinged it's jaw, it's teeth expanding.

SuperBeast: YOU FIRST!

SuperBeast using the last of its powers had bitten into Bison, eating his torso, leaving nothing but rigid marks atop his waist, leaving only his legs to be found. The monster powers down for the final time back to Mike. Severely weakened, he has 90 seconds to escape Bison's compund. The area is surrounded in fire and explosions. He runs with a limp, barely making it outside and buried in smoke. Ryu is waiting for him outside, where he sees nothing.

Ryu: Mike! Where are you!?

Mike no longer running, sees Ryu. He smiles.

Mike: It's over...it's finally all over.

Severely drained and fatally wounded, Mike uses what strength to walk. He sees Ryu, and what appears to be Cammy behind him, smiling back. He is hallucinating. He drops to his knees and falls on his back. Ryu runs over to him.

Ryu: Mike! Come on, we'll get you some help.

Mike: No, Ryu. Leave me here. I'll be okay. It's all over.

Ryu: Mike, you'll be okay, we'll get you to the hospital.

Mike: I already am okay. My work...it's...done.

Mike takes the bracelet from Ryu's belt and puts it on Ryu's wrist, pressing the snaps down.

Mike: I'll always be with you, brother. I'll send Sensei your regards. I love you...brother.

They clasp hands. Mike sees Cammy standing over a hunched over Ryu. Then he felt cold. He saw light. The grip in his hand loosens. Ryu holds Mike's lifeless body in his arms, silently shedding tears.

Ryu: I love you too...brother.

Three days later, a public memorial service had been held to honor him. Documentaries were shown about his life. The statue that was erected years ago had been restored to his former glory. Ryu is seen standing near it, looking up and smiling at it. Mike had made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure the safety of Izuna once again, making headlines around the world that Izuna was finally at peace. At the cost of his life, he carried out his ultimate goal. To make sure Izuna and its people would never cower in fear again. Ryu was last seen walking outside city limits, going about his own journey, wearing Mike's wristband he had given to him before his death.

Ryu: This journey is for not only me, but for you, Mike...Until we meet again, my friend, my brother...

Behind him in the sky is Mike, looking down at his lifelong friend, giving him a smile, with his arm around Cammy's shoulder.

Mike: I'll always be around, brother...count on it.

He gives Cammy a kiss, before they both fade away in the beautiful sunset sky, taking their place together for all times, in their eternal utopia.
