The SuperBeast Chronicles 5

The two monsters had rushed at each other, causing a head-on collision. They began clawing away at each other, each sustaining deep cuts. AngelBeast had double punched SuperBeast back, causing him to fly into a house. Luckly, it was empty. AngelBeast ran off, as SuperBeast ran after.

SuperBeast: YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY FROM ME!

AngelBeast: COME FIND ME, IF YOU CAN!

AngelBeast trampled through the streets. SuperBeast, sucking up the pain, ran after him. The chase led through the road, in heavy traffic and culminated on a rooftop. SuperBeast catches his ankle.

SuperBeast: DO NOT RUN FROM YOUR FATE!

AngelBeast: MY SUPPOSED FATE WILL BECOME YOURS!

AngelBeast forced his foot into SuperBeast's chest. Losing his balance, SuperBeast held onto the ledge of the building. AngelBeast clopped over to the edge, only to be greeted with a giant red fist. He spins around, almost falling off the building. SuperBeast sees a moment for a follow-up. He goes for a leaping dropkick. AngelBeast sidesteps it, causing SuperBeast to be sent plummeting down to the street. He falls on top of a van. He slowly deteriorates to Mike's human form.

Mike: Fuck...he's too strong...I can't do this.

AngelBeast jumps down, planning to stomp down on Mike, squashing him like a bug. Mike barely gets out of the way, with AngelBeast catching Mike's left leg. Mike screams violently in pain. AngelBeast looks over at another crowd just formed.

AngelBeast: IS THIS ALL YOU HAVE TO OFFER!? I SHOULD RIP YOU ALL LIMB FROM LIMB! STARTING WITH YOUR SO-CALLED HERO!

AngelBeast scooped up Mike with one hand. He violently hurls him into a storefront window. Mike crashes through it, with debris falling ontop of him. AngelBeast gives the crowd his attention.

AngelBeast: FROM NOW ON, I AM YOUR JUDGE, JURY, AND EXECUTIONER! YOU WILL ALL BOW TO ME!

Mike couldn't move his right arm of move his left leg. His life flashes before his eyes. Memories of Cammy, Ryu and his friends. His training in Hell. Early memories of Master Gouken when he was a boy. He remembers that Valconia said that he was just like him. Mike refocuses his energy, not onto rage, but to serenity. He closes his eyes. His heartbeat slowly decreasing. AngelBeast rips a hole into the store where Mike was.

AngelBeast: COME! MEET YOUR FATE IN FRONT OF YOUR PUBLIC!

Mike was hurled backed out into the street. He remained still, focused on the one thing he forgot he always had. The ability to heal. AngelBeast stood over him.

AngelBeast: I AM LIKE YOU IN EVERY WAY! NO, I AM SUPERIOR THAN YOU! A REQUEST BEFORE I DISPATCH YOU. WHY DO YOU CONTINUE? WHO DO YOU SERVE?

Mike: I...protect...the city, from scum--ugh--like you. I fight when they can't stand up for themselves. And...I do my job well.

AngelBeast: I HAVE EASILY TAKEN YOU DOWN, AND YOU CALL THIS WELL?

Mike: One last request. Are you truly like me in every way?

AngelBeast: BETTER THAN YOU CAN EVER BE!

Mike: I say...WE PUT THAT TO THE TEST!

Adrenaline in its highest form kicked in. Mike launches himself feet first, clipping AngelBeast in the jaw. AngelBeast holds his jaw with one hand. Still in the air, with great momentum and hangtime, Mike begins to flip forward. He interlaces his fingers and comes down with a hammerfist. Using all of his force, he breaks AngelBeast's halo. AngelBeast yells in agony, and begins to power down. Mike grabs him and elbows him in the face, follwed by a left forearm to the mouth. AngelBeast falls down. He uses his hands to slide himself on the street backwards, trying to escape Mike.

AngelBeast: Wait...please...from one demon to another. I beg of you.

Mike: You are no demon. I am not either. I am a hybrid. I walk through both realms. You've betrayed Hell. You've even betrayed Heaven. I only shudder to think where you're going.

Mike scoops up an Ax. He slides the blade onto the concrete, causing small sparks to emerge. He picks up AngelBeast by the throat. He throws the ax high into the air. Mike unleashed a move of his own creation, inspired by the techniques Gouken taught him. He gives AngelBeast a Dragon Punch, quickly following it up with a one handed Hadoken.

Mike: SHORYU-HADOKEN!

Mike lands first, as he awaits AngelBeast's spiraling body to come down. Mike grabs the ax from the sky as it falls. He swings it with all his might, and cuts AngelBeast in half. He ends it in a crouch stance, bringing the ax down on AngelBeast's throat, decapitating him even further. Blood floods the streets and stains Mike's face. Breathing heavily, he drops the ax down.

Mike: I'm getting too old for this shit...

Ken's car pulls up minutes later, With Ryu, Ken, And Cammy's friends carrying her to Mike.

Mike: Guys! Cammy!

Mike weakly jogs over to her. He uses his heal powers once more. He warms up his hands and places them on Cammy's leg and other wounds she had. Mike's power was severely drained, and only healed most of her wounds and his own. He was running on pure adrenaline. He gives her a big hug, embracing her tightly. The crowd, still speechless gave Mike a round of applause in his effort of keeping Izuna or what was left of it safe once more.
